2026 New Zealand Public Holidays – Plan Ahead with Spicers & Universal Packaging
As we move through 2026, it’s important to plan around public holidays to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. Below is a complete list of New Zealand’s national and regional public holidays for the year. Please note:
- On national public holidays, all Total Supply and Spicers offices and distribution centres across New Zealand will be closed.
- On regional anniversary days, only the branches in those regions will close. For example, Wellington and Canterbury branches will close on their respective anniversary days, while Auckland and other locations remain open.

- Day after New Year’s Day – Friday, 2 January
- Waitangi Day – Friday, 6 February
- Good Friday – Friday, 3 April
- Easter Monday – Monday, 6 April
- ANZAC Day – Saturday, 25 April (observed Monday, 27 April)
- King’s Birthday – Monday, 1 June
- Matariki – Friday, 10 July
- Labour Day – Monday, 26 October
- Christmas Day – Friday, 25 December
- Boxing Day – Saturday, 26 December (observed Monday, 28 December)
Regional Anniversary Days (Regional branch ONLY closed)
- Wellington Anniversary Day – Monday, 19 January
- Auckland Anniversary Day – Monday, 26 January
- Canterbury Anniversary Day – Friday, 13 November

- Regional holidays: Only the affected branch closes; other branches remain operational.
